The person in this exciting role will collaborate with business colleagues, innovate, shape investment, define projects, and set out enterprise technology designs to realise our strategy. You will be empowered to make big decisions and expected to influence from project to board level. Communication is a critical success factor in this role, with a confident grasp of technology concepts essential.

Key Accountabilities

Influence and innovate during the early ideation phase to guide strategic investment shaping and prioritisation

Define business and technology roadmaps to realise business outcomes, and communicate this convincingly to stakeholders

Support and guide projects to realise the target state, through positive influence and logical reasoning

Develop broad understanding of key value streams and make best-practice recommendations for improvement

Natural in application and understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts such as business capabilities, application roadmaps, data lineage

Design logical architectures to create reusable solution building blocks applicable to multiple business problems

Identify gaps or risks in technology landscape and gain sponsorship to resolve

Work with colleagues across technology to produce the best holistic outcomes and break down functional or project silos

Reports to: Head of Architecture and Transformation

Key competencies

Experienced in communicating, influencing, consulting with senior tech and business stakeholders with a calm, balanced and confident approach

Demonstrable experience in overseeing digital transformation, specialising in at least one of: Commercial, Operations, Central Function/Finance/HR

Ability to create and communicate logical solution designs following key architectural principles to inform business cases and project kickoff (programmes ranging from £1m-£100m, complex integrated portfolios >20 programmes, multiple technologies)

Build architectural views covering people, process, information and technology that are accessible yet built with architectural rigor

Likely to be educated to degree level with a broad knowledge of technology and business concepts

TOGAF qualified (desirable)

Continuously expanding our services to our customers, utilising predictive analytics and personalised services.

Transforming our customer's digital journey's through our website which is in the top 50 most visited UK websites - with 300m visits per annum, from 100m devices, resulting in 1bn page views, with 9.2m registered users, 20m unique visitors per month, and peaking at 7m visits per day during the Christmas peak.
